Hvor mye koster det?

Det koster rundt 2000kr i måneden for bosted og 4700kr for transport, lokal veiledning og Fairtrade premium. 

En søker finansiering for å få kostnaden dekket av Lånekassen, i tillegg til å søke reisestipend og lån. Ellers er det kostnader knyttet til opphold (losji og kost).

30 studiepoeng fra HiOA.

Semestre

Prosjekt:

Bachelor i sosialt arbeid: Feltarbeidet begynner i siste uke i august (omtrent 30.8). Studenter har 12 uker feltarbeid i Uganda, og en ukes opphold i Manchester ved University of Salford, Manchester hvor prosjektgruppen legger fram prosjektet for studenter der. 

Bachelor i barnevern: studenter deltar i undervisning ved HiOA i uke 34 og 35. Deretter reiser gruppen til Uganda. Prosjektperiode fra uke 36-47. Formidlingsseminaret i uke 49 eller 50 i Oslo.

Praksis:

Bachelor i sosialt arbeid: uke 37-49

Bachelor i barnevern: uke 35-47

Fra Ethical Educational Placements: "The list below gives some indication of potential areas for placement:

Supporting children with disabilities in Uganda - This involves working with our partners at Kyaninga Children’s Development Centre to support children with disabilities and their families.


Respectful care: Building Care and Compassion into Social and Health Systems in Uganda - This will link into a project sponsored by K4C and the UK’s Royal College of Midwives aimed at supporting more respectful approaches to health and social care.

Open Prison or Juvenile Centres (including mother and baby unit) – potential focus on rehabilitation work perhaps with our partner building charity – or educational work

Family out-reach work with our key partnerships in three local charities; one focused in supporting families affected by HIV and gender empowerment, one focused on the needs of children with disabilities and one focused on mental health linking into the local health facilities. These NGOs offer community work or single family case load opportunities.

Health education work and work with health and allied health professions in local health centres – there is a strong focus on maternal and newborn health including work on domestic violence, sexual health, family planning, cervical screening, HIV and nutrition.

Work with primary/secondary schools on any aspect of formal/informal education but also alcohol/drugs/substance abuse."

Karakteren '4' i engelsk fra videregående. Merk at vitnemålet ikke kan være eldre enn fem år gammelt ved semesterstart. Ellers kreves en IELTS eller TOEFL test
