Wireless network / Wi-Fi

If you have a OsloMet user account you can connect to the wireless network eduroam on campus. Our guests connect to the wireless network "OsloMet Guest".

Connect to wireless network / Wi-Fi on campus

1. Connect to Wi-Fi "eduroam"

  • In the list of networks, select the network "eduroam".

2. LoginID: username@oslomet.no

  • Password: OsloMet password
  • Username: Your OsloMet email address. Example: s123456@oslomet.no

    Please download the eduroam certificate for secure connection for your mobile device. Find the link to certificate in the guidance.

Download the eduroam profile with certificate

Download the eduroam profile with certificate for a secure logon to the eduroam network _without_ being connected to the Wi-Fi network on your mobile device.

  1. Connect to the wireless network "OsloMet Guest" via link: https://guestportal.uninett.no/
  2. Select: "If you need to setup your client for eduroam click here" in the browser. See the screenshot below.
  3. Select the appropriate institution (HiOA) and operating system.
  4. When on campus, connect your device to the wireless network "eduroam" for a secure logon on OsloMet (HiOA) after the download

Problems connecting eduroam

You may have trouble connecting your computer to eduroam on OsloMet after changing your password.

The solution is to delete the eduroam profile stored on your computer as it saves your old passwords.

Connect to the wireless guest network

The wireless guest network "OsloMet Guest" is for guests/visitors without a user account on OsloMet. 

Note! Students with a OsloMet username, or students/guests from other universities, must select the wireless network "eduroam".
